This weekend I took a trip out to Westbourne Grove, London to visit the brand new ‘Living and Giving Shop’ for Save the Children. Spear-headed by fashion retail guru, Mary Portas, the latest shop in her campaign has just opened and is gathering quite a reputation already.

They are set to be summer’s hottest trend but how on earth are you meant to wear harem trousers this season? No longer are they left to the confines of MC Hammer and Princess Jasmine from Disney’s Aladdin, these trousers are the hottest item to be seen wearing.

Over the past few weeks I have been blogging like crazy about the lovely Diana Vickers; who has recently become Anna Lou's number one fan. She has been photographed on numerous occassions wearing some key pieces from my latest collections.

We were saddened at Anna Lou of London to hear of the death of Rue McClanahan, most famously known as Blanche from the Golden Girls. The Golden Girls were to the 1980's what Sex & The City is in the naughties. And Blanche was definitely the original Samantha.

The ALoL office was all of a buzz this morning when we received new samples of my latest collection. Pick of the bunch was this Flower Headband with crystal as modelled by our office assistant, Stacey. We all took turns in trying it on and all fell equally in love with it! Perfect for a glamorous evening out, wedding or even to add a touch of Anna Lou sparkle to your look.

During some weekend YouTube browsing I came across this amazing video. Singing (better than Gaga herself!) is 12-year old, Greyson Chance. Since this candid performance at his High School Assembly he has appeared on US hit tv-show, Ellen and is an internet sensation.

For those who are too young to have seen the camp 1970’s sitcom The Good Life, you would be missing out on the most wonderful character television has seen. Margot Leadbetter (Penelope Keith), a snobby, busy-body who hen-pecks her middle-class husband Jerry and talks down to her hippy neighbours Tom & Barbara all the while stirring a strong martini, has one of the most fabulous wardrobes and style that I’ve seen.

As a special treat to all you bloggers, here is a sneak-peak of the latest collection to reach Anna Lou HQ. There are some new twists on old classics such as my crystal bow hair slide now in soft pink and apple for summer. Whilst new designs such as the Flower Power brooches in black and peach and the bling animal pendants are being seen for the first time.

Get the strawberries and cream ready as Wimbledon descends on the capital this Monday. But if Murray, Serena and ball-boys aren’t your thing, why not indulge in some tennis-themed fashion? With Wimbledon in the air there has never been a better time to break out the tennis skirt and plimsolls.

Today’s post is an extra special one, as we say huge congratulations to Anna, Aidie and their new baby boy. After months of excitement in the ALoL office everyone is thrilled that we have a new addition to the team. No name for the little man yet, but knowing Anna we’re sure there will be a brand new Anna Lou collection especially for boys soon!.

We try not to use this blog for tooting our horn too much. But yesterday was a special day with the arrival of Anna Lou's first child - a healthy 9lb sweetheart called Wilbur AND we were all over the Tuesday glossies. Our Disney playing card cuffs were in Grazia's Fashion Charts and New! Magazine dedicated a whole page to our I Love Camping necklace.

We realised that we have mentioned Anna Lou jewellery quite a bit lately on the blog – but it’s only due to the fabulous new products and press we have been treated to lately! So it is with great pleasure that I announce the Key to Wonderland necklace back in stock!

With the sun set to be shining this weekend there has never been a better time to dust of the BBQ and get sizzling! But forget the burnt burgers and bog-standard sausages, surprise your guests with a deliciously different salmon burger. On a recent excursion to Portobello Market I came across a vendor selling some very similar treats and since have been searching high and low for a recipe.

Hope you all had a brilliant weekend (if you went to Glastonbury or splashed about at the Shoreditch House rooftop pool however, we're not speaking due to a serious case of jealousy. Ok, I'm kidding.)
