Here are a few ideas of what to do this weekend if you fancy getting out of London.

Happy Friday everyone. It's been a busy few days at Anna Lou - we've moved offices and quite frankly, we're cream crackered. As Friday seems to be the day when you start to day dream about the weekend ahead and work starts to feel a little uninspiring, I've got a fun desk-bound time-waster for you that's a whole lot more interesting than solitaire.

We love Diana Vickers here at Anna Lou. Her first musical offering ‘Once’ is still on loop in the ALoL office and it even made number one! Renowned for her quirky style, we were thrilled to see that Diana chose to wear our signature Letter necklace in her music video.

My Monday night has been taken hostage by E4’s Glee (of course), but there is another television series making Tuesday nights a lot more interesting. The BBC3 documentary series, Blood Sweat and Luxuries is the latest series to hit our screens.

With Twitter, Facebook, SMS and e-mails taking over the way we communicate to each other, it makes receiving a letter or a card in the post so very special. It takes seconds to send an electronic message, but handwriting a card or letter and taking it to the post office really means you care.

I am always on the hunt for an interesting blog to keep me amused during my lunch break, and today I came across something rather special. Postsecret.blogspot.com lets anonymous people send in postcards revealing their inner most secrets.

Seeing photos of the Coachella Festival reminded me what a cool cat Kate Bosworth is. Hands down she was the best dressed under the Californian sun last month and her style has inspired us all at Anna Lou of London for the British festival season to come.

The Anna Lou office we're stunned to silence when we saw this striking picture of Kate Beckinsale. Pictured here at the Cannes Film Festival in a to-die-for Balmain dress (of course!), Kate looks almost statuesque. The 36 year-old, Serendipity star caused quite a stir on the red carpet in the daring gown.

I was honored this week to be a judge for Styling Leeds; a fabulously fun and creative site dedicated to seeking out the most stylish people in Leeds. Each week they send out their photographer to snap the trendiest people out and about. I was asked to pick my favourite three fashionistas from a whole bunch of photographs – it was quite a challenge! .

This week I came across the lovely Mademoiselle Robot -the perfect blog to read on a sunny day. Created by the ever stylish Laëtitia Wajnapel, a Parisian journalist living in London, Mademoiselle Robot has everything for an entertaining, insightful and fashionable read.

Head to Primrose Hill tomorrow for a traditional take on the village fete with food stalls, fun, fashion and live music...Don't miss the coconut shies, lucky dip, wet sponge throwing, apple bobbing ( When I was little, I once won the golden prize at my local village fete as I bobbed the most apples, I wonder if I still have that skill?), hook-a-duck, tug-of-war and not to forget the marching band.

I met a friend for brunch on Saturday at a new restaurant that everyone seems to be talking about - Caravan on Exmouth Market.  With the sun shining, the windows and doors open to let in the breeze, Antipodean accents to our left and right and some of the best coffee I’ve had in a long time, you could be easily forgiven to think that we were in a chic beachside Sydney bistro.

Just a quick post update with some amazing press coverage courtesy of Heat Magazine. The Anna Lou Heart Cuff has been super popular and I have posted pics of 'Once' singer, Diana Vickers rocking two on her recent UK tour. But I was super thrilled to see Heat Magazine have decided to feature it in their 'Top 10 High Street Treats' in this week’s issue.

Cheryl Cole recently said in a magazine interview: ‘The higher the hair the closer to heaven’ and we couldn’t agree more! With summer on its way (yes I am daring to say it may be around the corner!) there has never been a better time to give your hair a boost.

The wait is over as the most anticipated movie of 2010 (well at least for the ALoL office!) finally makes it onto the big screen. For this reason alone I had to devote today’s post to the TV show that tapped into real women’s live regardless of age, career or lifestyle.

Before Christmas all the ladies at Anna Lou HQ went to see Frisky & Mannish, the most hilarious and entertaining Cabaret act we’ve seen in an age.
